Know about the conversation between Abram and Lot in the – bible scripture today.

Description: The above verse is the conversation between Abram and Lot. When God said to Abram to separate from their family, he and his wife and Lot family separated from their parents. Then God blessed Abram, and he was rich in cattle, in silver, and gold.

Even Lot was blessed with cattle, and then the land was not able to bear them so they cannot dwell together because their substance was great. And there was strife between the herdsmen’s of Abram’s and Lot’s cattle. Then Abram said we are brothers, and I pray that there should be no strife between my herdsmen and your herdsmen.

Then Abram said to Lot this whole land is before you if you take the left hand, then I will take the right, and if you go to the right hand, then I will take the left. Then Lot lifted his eyes and selected the plain of Jordan, which is fertile, and Abram took the less desirable land.

He prayed and gave a choice to his nephew (Lot) to select the plain. To avoid the conflict between them, he generously gave Lot to choose the land first. He trusted God that he always gives his best to those who leave the choice with him. He trusted in God about his future.

Abram trusted God, so he kept his future in the hands of him. So he prayed before separating themselves, but Lot did not pray to God, and he selected the land which is beautiful for his eyes. Abram taught his children and servants about God, but Lot never taught his children and servants about God. So there were none of the believers in the Jordan. So God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah.

In 1 Peter 3:8-12, Peter says that everyone should have unity of mind, sympathy and brotherly love, a humble mind, and a tender heart. If they do evil, we should not do evil.we not seek peace and pursue it. Because the eyes of the lord are only on the righteous, and their ears are open to their prayers.

Abraham has the quality of praying to God before any situation, and he doesn’t want to have strife between his nephew. He sought peace with his relative. So God blessed him abundantly.

We need to have a relationship with God so that he will give us a suggestion of what to do. If we don’t listen to God words, then there will be trouble.

We should not do evil to the one who does evil to us. We should believe our eyes because Lot saw the land, and it looks beautiful for him, and he chooses the fertile land, but at last, God destroyed that land.

Father Lord Almighty, your love and faithful guide me in every choice we make. Grant me brotherly love and peace with each other. I pray, Amen.
