Amazing facts of God’s gracious seeking the guilty sinners in cmportal.in – bible words in English today

Adam and Eve ate the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. God has commanded them not to eat that fruit, but Satan tempted them to eat the fruit. When they ate the fruit, the eyes of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. For the first time, they had a sense that it wasn’t right, then they covered themselves with the fig leaves.

Adam and Eve heard the sound of the Lord walking in the garden, but both hid behind the tree. It was the time of fear for them to appear before God. The problem was not for nakedness but because of their sin committed. It is fear to them to have appeared as a guilty sinner in the presence of God. But God graciously seeks the guilty sinners.

God calls Adam and questions them, “where are you?”. God knows where he was. He asked the question so that Adam might think. The questions of God told Adam that he was lost, and God came to find him. In the same way, we are lost from God, so he sent his son Jesus Christ, and he came to seek and to save who are lost.

When Adam sinned, he became lost in a relationship with God. From that day, all the descendants of Adam are lost from God. When Adam and Eve sinned, God graciously came to them and showed his pure Grace. In Colossians 1:13-14 says God has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated to his kingdom by his son. In him, we have redemption through his blood and also forgiveness of our sins.

Why the question “where are you?” Are asked by God in daily scripture reading:

  • Because he has created us.
  • When we sin against him.
  • When we hide from him.
  • Because he loves and seeks.
