Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. The author of this chapter was Matthew.
The excellent ways to put down your burdens in cmportal.in – bible words in English today
In this bible verse, we see the invitation of Jesus to all those who are weary and burdened. When Jesus said to come to me, this showed his authority. This invitation is made only by Jesus, not anyone else. He calls himself so we should go before him with our trust because he is our savior.
The reasons for God to call us in psalms verse of the day:
Jesus directed his call to those who are weary and burdened. He called them to give rest and to relieve their need. He is calling to turn from whatever we presently depend on. Those who are not believers of Christ, it is a call to them to believe in him. But those who are already believed in Jesus it is a call for them to follow him as a committed disciple. It is a call for them to turn their lives to him completely.
We are called to have an intimate fellowship with God. We need to have a personal relationship with Christ. He is calling everyone, and he is never partial to one group, class, or nationality. He is reaching the whole world to come to him. He wanted to give rest and also cease from the labor.
Matthew 11:29 says he says to take his yoke upon us and learn from him because he is gentle and low in heart, and we will find rest in our souls. The yoke of Jesus is very light when compared to others. We need to receive the yoke of the kingdom. The yoke of faith, the yoke of repentance.
In Isaiah 55: 1-3, the one who is thirsty and who has no money can come to him when we incline our ear and come to him so that our soul will live, and he will make an everlasting covenant with us and grant sure mercies of David.

Many times we suffer from many problems and share with others, but when we put our burden on him, he will give us rest. We put our burdens down when we bring them into God’s presence. Instead of carrying the burdens, we need to put down on God because he carries them and gives rest to our souls. Prayer is the place where we can put down our burdens.
Father Lord Almighty, Thank you, Lord, for calling me and asking me to put my burdens on you. Thank you for giving rest to my soul. I pray, Amen.
